Corrections and how to report an error

Every figure on this site was read from a publisher’s or journal’s own page on a stated date. Pages change, and we misread things. This page lists what we have changed and why, and how to tell us about an error.

Report an error

Write to corrections@journalfees.com with the page on this site, what you believe is wrong, and a link to the publisher’s or journal’s own page that shows the correct figure. A link to the primary page is what lets us act: we do not change a figure on the strength of an email alone, including emails from publishers, because the next reader has to be able to check it too.

What happens next: we read the page you point to, change the figure if it supports the change, record the correction below with the evidence, and reply to you. If the publisher’s page is ambiguous, we show both readings and say so rather than pick one.

Journals and publishers: if your fee page has moved or your policy has changed, the same address works. We re-read a page when told it has changed; we do not take dictation on what it says.

Publishers and source operators that have answered our questions, and what they confirmed: Publisher responses.

2026-10-27Turanian JournalRecord changed from “no clear statement found” to “no author charge stated”. Our first reading used the institute’s page, not the journal’s own; the journal sent us the links on 26 October 2026. Its own pages say there are no fees for submission, editorial processing, peer review or publication, and that articles are published under CC BY 4.0 with authors keeping copyright. 2026-10-26Company of BiologistsHybrid line changed from “not stated” to “no” on the publisher page and in the country tables. The publisher told us by email on 22 October 2026 that the hybrid journals do not offer country waivers because they keep a free-to-publish option (articles free to read after 12 months); our question had named Development, Journal of Cell Science and Journal of Experimental Biology. 2026-10-22Microbiology Society2027 APCs added (£2,424 Tier 1; Access Microbiology £1,097) next to the 2026 rates; HINARI Group B 50% added to the page summary (it was in our data, not on the page). The Society told us on 21 October 2026 that 2026 rates apply to articles accepted before 17 December 2026 and that the 30% member discount is applied on top of the 50% HINARI discount; its fee page still says only one discount applies, so both are shown. 2026-10-21PensoftWe had held Pensoft figures from pensoft.net/open-access as journal APCs. Pensoft confirmed on 12 October 2026 that these are average publishing costs and that each journal’s own page is the source. Pensoft fields were left empty until we re-read all 69 journal pages on the list Pensoft sent us (20 October 2026). Prices now come from those pages, dated 21 October 2026. Source · PagePensoft
