Suggested citation

JournalFees (2026). Verified article processing charges and waiver eligibility by country. journalfees.com, dataset version of 11 October 2026. https://journalfees.com/data/ (CC BY 4.0).

For a single figure, cite the journal page on this site and the date it shows, for example “Nature Communications APC $7,350, read 16 September 2026, journalfees.com/journals/nature-communications/”. The date matters more than the figure: it tells your reader which version of the publisher’s page we saw.

Every row names the page it was read from and the date. Files are regenerated when figures change; the corrections log records what changed.

How the figures were collected

Each price was read from the publisher’s or journal’s own fee page, by a person or a script whose reading a person checked, and recorded with the page address and date. Where the page blocked automated reading we used an archived copy and said so in the row. Where a figure was available only from a directory, a search summary or an email, it was not published. The full rules are on How we check.

Amounts are list prices before tax, waivers and institutional agreements, in the currency the publisher states. We do not convert currencies: a converted figure would look like a verified price when it is not.
