Budgets are compared in US dollars only. Journals priced in euros, pounds or francs are listed with their own currency and are never filtered out by the dollar budget — read their price yourself. The waiver column applies only where the publisher publishes a country list (Wiley, Taylor & Francis); for every other publisher it names the basis of the policy (Research4Life, World Bank income, case by case) and links to it — the amount is decided by the publisher, not computed here.

"After waiver" = list APC minus the country reduction published by Wiley or Taylor & Francis for fully open access journals (the two lists). Other publishers decide on request or by Research4Life group; "policy" links to what they publish. Medicine & health journals have no field tag yet — use "All fields" with a name search. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is saved.
How to read this
- List prices are before tax and before any institutional agreement. A read-and-publish agreement at your university can make a $7,000 journal free; check your library first.
- "No fee" means the publisher's own page states authors pay nothing (diamond open access, SCOAP3, or a subscription route). The subscription route is free but the article is not open access.
- Waivers follow the corresponding author's country at Wiley and Taylor & Francis. If a co-author abroad is corresponding, the reduction is lost. Who counts.
