BMC — publication fee waivers
BMC is part of Springer Nature and follows its policy. The important development: on journals inside Springer Nature's country-tiered APC pricing pilot, that pilot supersedes the waiver and discount scheme for corresponding authors in low- and lower-middle-income economies. Two mechanisms therefore coexist across the portfolio, and which one applies depends on the individual journal.

Country list
This publisher states the rule but does not publish a single consolidated country list we could verify. We record the rule and link to the source rather than infer which countries it covers. If you know of a published list, tell us.
